This is one of the most common questions we get—and the answer is yes. At Watkinsville Urgent Care, we offer on-site digital X-ray, so you don’t have to travel to another facility or wait days for answers.
X-rays are an important tool in urgent care and are commonly used to evaluate persistent coughs, possible pneumonia, bone fractures, joint injuries, and certain sprains or dislocations. Having X-ray available in-house allows us to quickly confirm or rule out serious conditions and move forward with the right treatment plan during your visit.
One key difference between our clinic and some urgent care centers is how our X-rays are interpreted. Every X-ray performed at our clinic is over-read by a board-certified radiologist. While our providers review images in real time to guide your care, a radiologist—whose specialty is reading imaging studies—also reviews the films to provide an additional layer of expertise and safety. Not all clinics with X-ray capability use radiologist over-reads.
This approach helps reduce missed findings, improves diagnostic accuracy, and ensures you receive the same level of imaging oversight you would expect from a hospital or imaging center—without the long waits or added costs. If further evaluation or follow-up is needed, we’ll contact you and help coordinate next steps.
If you’re dealing with an injury, chest symptoms, or another condition where imaging might be helpful, our team is ready to help. Having on-site X-ray with expert review means faster answers, fewer delays, and peace of mind—all in one visit.
